ABOUT
My paintings are about color, line, shape, words and feelings. I attempt to make them interesting rather than 'pretty.' In the process of creating a painting I am expressing my feelings and hopefully causing some reaction on the part of the viewer.

My most recent body of work is mixed media combining watercolor, pen and ink, crayons, and photocopied images including pages from my journals and sketch books and copies of my paintings. This process allows me to bring many of my skills and feelings together into individual expressive works. These works are often themed around current events, pop culture, and controversial issues, allowing a platform for expressing my opinions and feelings about various ideas.

I was a fine arts major in college, and have worked in art direction, marketing, advertising design, computer graphics, cartooning, and illustration. I have been accepted in many national and regional juried shows and my work is in collections in the U.S.

I studied fine arts at Art Center in Los Angeles; El Camino College; California State University Long Beach; University of California at Los Angeles; The Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia; and with numerous nationally known artists in the U.S.
